The annual JORVIK Viking Festival is a huge city-wide celebration of York’s rich Norse heritage. It is recognised as the largest Viking festival in Europe and includes a host of exciting events on the programme including living history encampments, markets and workshops. Meet and greet some amazing birds of prey with the assistance of trained staff. The incredible medieval townhouse of Barley Hall (also a fascinating lens to the past) will showcase these amazing creatures and tell the stories of their uses throughout Viking mythology.
