2018 saw a total of 262,637 people across the 4 days with the Gold Cup Day seeing 70,684 people at the venue

Who won last year?

The 2019 Cheltenham Gold Cup was won by Al Boum Photo, ridden by Paul Townend. 

Has it ever been cancelled? 

The only cancellation was in 2001 when an outbreak of foot and mouth disease threatened the animals. It was originally just delayed however the outbreak continued so it was decided it was best to cancel for the year.

What is the prize money for the Gold Cup?

Last year’s Gold Cup prize money was £625,000. In total across the 4 days of racing there is over £4.5 to be won.

How much are tickets?

Tickets range from £25 to £140 depending on which day or stand you are in. Tickets should be bought in advance as most are normally sold out very quickly
