Say hello to our new Mercedes Tourismo 57-seater executive coach. Luxury. Get used to it.

Say hello to our new Mercedes Tourismo 57-seater executive coach. Luxury. Get used to it.

You can’t beat a little bit of luxury, can you?

poverty & luxury

It’s all relative, of course.

If you’re used to living like a student (I’m thinking Neil from The Young Ones …), having a bit of squirty cream on top of a good cup of coffee will seem like unfathomable decadence. If you’re incredibly wealthy (more like Kendal from Succession), you’ll probably wonder what’s happened to Maurizio who usually whips your cream for you.

When do you expect the most luxury in life?

If you’re minted, you might get five star treatment all the time. Spa days in country retreats, private boxes at theatres and sporting events, dinner at the finest restaurants.

For most of us, though, luxury is something you treat yourself to once in a while – and usually when you’re travelling. You push the boat out a little, because this is what life’s really about, isn’t it? Experiences. The journey, not just the destination.

At Your Coach Hire, we’ve pushed that boat out too.

Mercedes Tourismo 57-seater luxury coach

Well, not a boat, exactly.

Say hello to the Your Coach Hire fleet’s newest stablemate: our Mercedes Tourismo 57-seater executive coach. Luxury travel – for you and dozens of your friends, colleagues or team mates.

The Mercedes ride

The Tourismo is a masterpiece of German engineering, with solid construction and smooth suspension that insulates you from the undulations of the road. There’s plenty of space for whatever you need to take with you in the cargo bay, too.

Interior photo showing TV screens

We all know weather in the UK and on the continent can be unpredictable – and we’ve certainly seen some extremes of temperature over the last few years. The coach is fully air-conditioned, so whatever the European weather decides to do en route, you can kick back and travel in comfort.

And kicking back isn’t just a turn of phrase on the Mercedes Tourismo, either. To make sure you can relax as you travel, every seat reclines. Sit back and watch as the view changes.

Entertainment

Speaking of watching, you do have options. If you’re travelling for leisure, the coach is equipped with screens and a DVD player, so you can binge your favourite box set or film trilogy as you eat up the miles to your destination.

If you’re a company travelling for a work event or a conference; or if you’re a team travelling to a sports fixture, you might need to do some collective learning on the way. We’ve got you covered: the TV screens on the coach can also be hooked up to a laptop through HDMI, so you can show presentations, footage, or whatever you need to share to collaborate and arrive with everyone up to speed.

Mercedes Tourismo Interior photo facing rear of the coach

Let’s be honest, though – who watches stuff together any more?

Most of us are glued to a small screen in front of us to make sure we’re in touch, connected and we know what’s going on. It’s also how we disconnect and choose what we want to do, play and watch. You probably take your entertainment with you as downloads or streamed entertainment.

Mercedes Tourismo interior showing washroom facility

Only trouble is, on a long journey using a phone or tablet can be tricky when it comes to battery life. Well, there are no worries on our Tourismo coach – every seat has a USB point so you can plug in your devices, use them for the journey and still arrive with a full battery.

Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Our Mercedes Tourismo luxury coach is available for hire for any occasion, whether you’re travelling within the UK or into Europe. Beside the creature comforts of entertainment and relaxation, there’s a superb on-board washroom, so long journeys needn’t be uncomfortable.

We’ve kept the coach clean and unbranded, so it’s the ideal solution for you if you’d like to travel incognito or if you’d like to add your own branding for corporate or sports events. Or if you’re a rock star travelling with your entourage.

But then, even if you’re not a rock star, we’re sure you’ll feel like one when you add a little of our Tourismo’s touches of luxury to your journey. (But it won’t cost you the earth).

So wherever you’re planning to go: Luxury. Get used to it.

Travel like a rock star (just don’t smash anything up)

Travel like a rock star (just don’t smash anything up)

Coach travel can sometimes be a daunting experience. Long legs? Many coaches make for a bit of an uncomfortable experience. Need to stretch your legs on a long journey? It can be awkward to get up and move around – especially on a full coach of standard seats. Need to get some sleep on your long journey? It can be a bit of a challenge in narrow seats. Got a laptop or entertainment device? Wouldn’t it be lovely to have a table and power source?

Don’t you just dream of the luxury travel styles of professional sports players and movie stars with their fancy coaches, kitted out with all the facilities you can think of? If only there was a way to enjoy this and not break the budget …

Dream no more! Your Coach Hire is proud to announce our new luxury coach.

Relax in one of the 36 leather seats with luxury padding for extra long journeys. Hungry? Make use of the full rear kitchen with toaster, kettle, fridges, 2 ovens, microwave and hot or cold running water. Make use of the large capacity luggage space capable of storing all your goods.

Each seat is on a table which all have power supplies so you will never be caught without a workspace. If you aren’t using the coach for work you can make use of the freeview TV and DVD player.

The coach also comes with a toilet and washroom to freshen up on those long journeys. On top of all this you will enjoy having privacy glass throughout and a carpeted floor to highly reduce the road noise leaving you in total bliss from the outside world.

Worried about the stuffy feeling associated with coaches? Worry not! Our coach is equipped with climate control.

If you are planning a trip with a group such as sports teams, golf tours, day trips to race days, or corporate functions then look no further. You may also choose to use it as a mobile office.

What to expect at MCM Birmingham Comic Con

What to expect at MCM Birmingham Comic Con

Comic conventions draw crowds from all over to appreciate anything movies, comics, gaming and more. They are a great opportunity to meet like minded people as well as get an insight into the various industries. The UK holds many different coming and gaming conventions but the biggest are the MCM Comic Cons. They are held twice a year in London and once a year in Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester. We’ve made a crash course on what to expect and look out for at MCM Comic Con Birmingham.

Meet and Greets

Many events host celebrities for meet and greets. This gives you time to say hello and take photos with some of your favourite stars and content creators. They might also offer autographs. Be warned however, many do charge for these privileges. This year they have 4 featured guests from the anime series My Hero Academia.

Cosplay

Dressing up as some of your favourite characters is commonly known as cosplaying. This is a very (emphasis on very here) popular thing to do at these conventions. From the smaller style changes to huge elaborate costumes. There are also competitions for the best cosplays. The MCM Facebook page has the official sign up sheets for the cosplay competitions. Be wary when designing your costume as there are rules to what you can wear or take. See the MCM website for more details: mcmcomiccon.com

Stalls in the Comic Village

Comic Conventions are probably one of the best times to buy merchandise (merch). From clothing items to artwork, the Comic Village is full of stalls showcasing and selling many different items. These stalls arent only for selling though. Many stalls will showcase and give insights into various industries including some film making and video editing for the movie buffs and live character modelling for the gaming geeks.

Coach hire- the Eco friendly travel solution

Coach hire- the Eco friendly travel solution

Reducing your carbon footprint has never been more important. There are many factors which affect our carbon footprint such as the power used in your home or where you source your food from. One of the largest contributing factors is your method of travel. Changing how you travel can make a huge difference. The new Bus and Coach Smart Move campaign has set out a lot of details about how bus and coach travel will help reduce congestion and clean the air we breath.

When put against any other passenger transport mode, buses and coaches will always come out on top. A standard car will fit 4 people, whereas, a standard coach will fit an average of 40 people, meaning there are up to 10 cars less on the road if we all travel by coach.

According to the Department of Transport’s Energy and Environment statistics, coach hire is the most efficient and eco friendly method of travel. Cars and taxis made up 62% of CO emissions and 32% of NOx emissions in 2017 compared to the 1% and 3% of coaches and buses respectively.

This graphic designed by Bus and Coach Smart Move shows just how much congestion and therefore air pollution is reduced by using a coach.

Your Coach Hire offer a nationwide, reliable and eco-friendly coach service. Book your travel today with our quick and easy online quoting system.

Scotland – The land of hidden beauty

Scotland – The land of hidden beauty

Scotland is undoubtedly a land of beautiful destinations. Take for example the incredible cities of Edinburgh, famous for its festivals of culture and comedy; and Glasgow, one of the first European Cities of Culture. Then you have the amazing Lochs including Loch Ness, home to the infamous and legendary Nessie. If, however, you are looking for some more hidden spots of Scotland that will take your breath away, look no further.

Glen Roy

The Parallel Roads in Glen Roy are a unique natural phenomenon. Glen Roy is located just 18 miles north-east of Fort William and home to three strange roads. These roads circle the glen. Charles Darwin described them to be ‘astonishing’.

Kagyu Samye Ling

Founded in 1967 in the beautiful valley of Eskdalemuir, Dumfries and Galloway, Kagyu Samye Ling was the first Tibetan Buddhist Center established in the West – and it’s also the biggest. It’s been visited by many famous Buddhists, including John Lennon and David Bowie. The Temple located here now was opened in 1988 and now provides a shop, tea room and unique garden as well as accommodation for visitors.

Electric Brae

Known locally as Croy Brae, this unique quarter mile stretch of road is home to a truly strange optical illusion. The laws of physics seem to not apply as you can see cars appear to roll uphill. This illusion is formed by the road which runs downhill while the landscape around inclines. Highly recommended as part of your route for a surreal experience. Just make sure you stay safe and observe the laws of the road.

The Dunmore Pineapple

Strange to think now, but in the 15th century, the discovery of the pineapple left people spellbound and they were in huge demand. This lead to the construction of Scotland’s “most bizarre building”. The folly at Dunmore is the primary building but it is the decoration of a 45-feet tall pineapple made of stone for which it is most famous. The location is now owned by the Landmark Trust and you can even rent it as a holiday home.

Whaligoe Steps

Visit a true testimony to how hard local fishermen used to work at the amazing natural steps of Whaligoe. For centuries, men and women traversed the 330 crooked steps up the cliffs rising over two hundred feet. They climbed these steps with a catch on their back and risked slipping to their doom to get the haul home. If the steps themselves aren’t enough then the stunning views from the top of the cliffs should be.

These are just a few of the incredible hidden sites around Scotland just waiting to be discovered. Travel there in a large group with Your Coach Hire, supplying minibuses and coaches to and from anywhere in the UK. Get a quick quote online today.
